Let me explain this better….. there are 2 types of companies in the world, the “heart” driving companies and the “fear” driving companies…

When you are facing the decision to apply to work in a brand or in a company, specially in the fashion industry, before  you make that choice based on how  “nice” products they have or how cool that company is, try to grab more info about how they treat people, how they treat environment, how honest they are with society… this all may sound you like something not important, but believe me it is…

I tell you what happens, specially when in fashion, but we can apply it in almost all the sectors,  the love or fascination for the flashing things, those that are not true and important, will last 6 months, max one year….  After the initial “honeymoon” you will see the real aspects of the company you are working with, and it is then when the brand or company values need to meet your values… if this doesn’t happen, you will feel trapped and frustrated sooner or later.

This applies also to clients, if it is the case you are a freelance or a business owner, with years I have learned to not let the “name-dropping” fancy initial situation condition my choice when accepting a project, I have learned to go behind “the curtains” and see how this project may create something positive, that will be good for me, the client but also in a way for the world…

This is my advice, like with every other thing in the world, it makes a big difference if we make a choice from fear or from love, if you apply this also when it comes to choosing the right  brand or company to work in, believe me it will make a huge difference and you will have much more happiness and balance in your life.

Remember we spend around the 60/70 % of our lives working, please use it wisely!
