Today we all wake up with the news that our  UK friends are not part of the UE team anymore…

Like with any other change in life , there is always an initial state of ansia and drama…. and this is what is happening at the moment in the fashion system.

But does all this negative vision is right? I think not.

Of course we are going to face some difficulties , special regarding B2B , production, services and some other aspects of the supply chain in fashion that were much more easy thanks to UE agreements, but lets be honest, , UK had always one foot out. They where never fully inside , they where never fully out….and if you want my opinion, “everything was in the air long time before already”….

I was in London in April for business appointments, and shock me already to have to bring my passport when before I always brought my Italian “carta d’identità'”…

Saying this , the real point is… how fashion companies are going to react to this? We all know fashion is facing changes, and we all know it is mandatory that companies find different ways as for sure the old systems are not working anymore…

So call me an optimist, but I think that Brexit  may change into something positive, at least for the fashion industry..

remember that fashion is not something we need, is something we want , and this my friends make the difference.

So I really hope that this new difficulties will awake companies to develop new strategies more aligned with now day’s global issues. Changes are always necessary as is just thru change that humankind progress…
