Tithing is the act of sharing ten percent of one’s income. The word “tithe” comes from the Hebrew word eser, which means “ten.” The selfless sharing of one’s wealth, time, and talent is actually a great spiritual tool with the power to change lives. Our purpose in this lifetime is to transform our own desire to receive into a beneficent force for sharing with others. In doing so, we become like the Creator, bringing Light to the entire world.
Also the Christian Religion talks about Tithing: the Bible tells us that tithing is a way to show that we trust God with our lives and our finances. But the tithe wasn’t put in place for God’s benefit: He already owns everything. Instead, tithing is meant for our benefit because sacrificing a portion of our income helps us look outside our selfishness and makes us more aware of the needs of others.
Through Buddhism, I’ve understood the importance of Dana (pronounced “DAH-nuh): voluntary giving of materials, energy, or wisdom to others. According to the Buddha, “before giving, the mind of the giver is happy; while giving, the mind of the giver is made peaceful; and having given, the mind of the giver is uplifted.”
That’s why we believe in the power of “giving back” and the FLP platform supports different ONG and social initiatives that create a better world, we give the 10% of all our revenues to the organizations listed below, and we encourage you to give to them as well, not just through buying our products, but also through the direct links below.
We believe in the power of self-awareness and conscious community and the universal principle that “We are all one, and we are all connected”.
Thank you with love and gratitude for your support,
